Featuring Halifax Mooseheads assistant coach Jon Greenwood
Greenwood joined the Mooseheads prior to the start of the 2014-15 season after spending two years as the Head Coach of the Cole Harbour WolfPack Midget AAA team. He has also served as Director of Hockey Development at the Maritime Hockey Academy for seven years. The Cole Harbour native was named the 2013-14 coach of the year in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League. Greenwood and wife Lisa have two children, daughter Madeline and son Nolan.
Greenwood graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a B.A Degree followed by a Bachelor of Education at the University of Maine.
Acadia Hockey Development is proud to announce it will once again be hosting an Acadia Showcase for players ranging from 02, 03 and 04 birthdates at the Andrew H McCain arena on the campus of Acadia. This camp has been a tremendous success the last couple of years and helps not only in player development but also exposes Atlantic Canadian players to some excellent coaches from various different levels including Prep School, Major Junior, Junior “A” and the University level. On ice instruction will be led by the Acadia University Staff as well as guest instructors that will be announced in the coming weeks. High level off ice training led by Acadia’s Elliott Richardson will also be included. This camp will also provide the player an experience in preparing for high level tryouts and training camps.
The camp will consist of a minimum of nine hours of ice time. Sessions will be divided into skills, execution, skating as well as two scrimmages. The scrimmages will be coached by staff members & guest coaches.
We will be requiring a deposit of $125 by May 31st. Cheques can be made out to Acadia Hockey Camps. Please stay tuned for announcements of additional on ice staff to be added over the following several weeks.
