Playoff standout Clark returns to Stockton Thunder of ECHL

Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League, have agreed to terms with forward Andrew Clark, Thunder Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Kromm announced.

Clark, 25, graduated from Acadia University last spring and made his pro debut with the Thunder last season after turning pro. He skated in 22 playoff games finishing second, and tied for third in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, with 21 points (7g-14a).

The 5-foot-11, 178-pound forward finished his collegiate career in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) with the Acadia University Axemen, where he tallied 131 points (56g-75a) in 111 career games. Clark was named CIS First Team All-Canadian in 2011-12 and CIS Second Team All-Canadian in 2012-13 and was awarded the Senator Joseph A. Sullivan Trophy in 2011-12, which is given to the Player of the Year in the CIS.

In addition to his playing days at Acadia University, Clark also played junior hockey for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League, appearing in over 250 games for his hometown club.
